About The Show

Chaotic goodness

The crew of the Irritated Badger are always on the hunt for money, action, and adventure! They’re just bad at them.

Join us for a space opera game following the often inept usually foolhardy, and extremely dangerous crew of the Wombat-class freighter Irritated Badger as they try so hard to make a living in an unforgiving galaxy full of corporations, space pirates, religious fanatics, insurmountable armies and feudalistic slavers.

Go on a space adventure! Think Star Wars/ Firefly/ meets Spaceballs! These players are having fun! The production sounds great! With the occasional sound effect to crack you up! I found the laughter contagious as I laughed along with the gang. As a fellow podcaster I loved how they jumped right into the adventure and left the show notes and off-topic banter for the end. (Gonna steal this)

This is just a straight up great Actual Play podcast. The system they are using is flexible so they are all allowed to really play around in this wonderfully realized world. The music adds such a sense of energy to the narrative and makes the podcast that much more fun to listen to. Also, unlike a lot of other AP Podcasts, the dice rolling rarely ever took over the show. It had its effect on the story to be sure, but ultimately rolling dice was never the most important part of the game. This is a group of people who are here to have fun and it shows.

This is unlike many podcasts I've heard in the actual-play genre. I love immersing myself in the sci-fi of this, the system is enjoyable, and I REALLY love the added vocal effects so that communications are more like a radio play at times than an actual-play. Absolutely enjoyable and worth a listen! <3 from the whole Tabletop Potluck crew!

Chaotic Goodness is exactly what its title suggests: a wonderful show filled with good good anarchy. The GM does a fantastic job of providing solid story hooks while allowing enough freedom for the players (and the random roll of the dice) to really take command of the story. It’s truly a type of storytelling where everyone is significantly contributing, and there’s clear trust between everyone involved. If you want a show where the unexpected is handled with grace and many laughs, check this out!

There’s RPG pods and then there’s Chaotic Goodness. I just started listening and I’m a fan. Great chemistry and hilarious banter. The production quality is really nice. I love the sound bytes and backing music. The robot intro narrative is also fabulous. How fun!
